Uniform circulation. Collaboration with BPLab that began to embody and implement the Circular Economy

2025.02.05

Uniforms that have served their purpose are no longer “trash” but “resources.
─ The RE:CyCREW PROJECT was started with this in mind.
In 2024, Classico will build a recycling scheme that can handle uniforms and create an accessible environment, which we consider one of our responsibilities, and we have started the RE:CyCREW PROJECT in cooperation with BPLab, Inc. in collaboration with BPLab, has started recycling medical apparel.

What is RE:CyCREW PROJECT?
Classico has always placed importance on facing the “essence” of manufacturing.
We believe that facing the “essence” is not only making and wearing clothes, but also thinking about what happens to them after they are no longer worn.
We hope that we can choose a path that will lead to the next generation, instead of trashing clothes that have fulfilled their purpose.
If that choice leads to a step toward bettering the earth in the future.
If you could choose Classico, which has such a desire.
This is a project that Classico and you will work together to achieve the same future.
In 2024, Classico will participate in BPLab’s recycling platform “BIOLOGIC LOOP” and recycle about 1 ton of in-house inventory. In addition, we collect unwanted uniforms, and as part of this project, Classico Yokohama holds collection events in which individuals can participate.
Classico is promoting sustainable initiatives that consider not only production, but also after-use.
