Collaboration project with “Hitoiro Project” to breathe new life into leftover fabric

2024.05.28

Even though we are earnest in our manufacturing, “leftover fabric” is produced in the process of producing apparel products.
We started the “Residual Ragging Reduction Project” with the idea that we should face this problem and make use of it in some way. This is the reason why we have launched a project to reduce the amount of leftover fabric.
We provide Classico’s remnants to the “Hitoiro Project,” a project that continues to bring new possibilities of care to the medical and welfare fields through the power of color and art.

In this collaborative project, Hitiro Project worked to transform Classico’s leftover fabric into works of art.
Established in 2017, Hitoiro Project is an organization that promotes care utilizing color and art in the medical and welfare fields. Using their unique color utilization method, “Rehab Color ®️,” they have developed a variety of activities, including patient appearance care, creative sessions in hospital wards, hospital art production, and gallery exhibitions.
In the workshops, healthcare professionals and patients participate in creating art using leftover fabrics. The artworks were created to bring new color and vitality to the medical field. The final result was an exhibition of these works at “HOSPITAL ART from GALLERY II” in Osaka City, where many people were able to experience the fusion of medicine and art.
